Cubase performance osx vs win7

I have read that cubase runs better on win7. While I've had zero issues with cubase 7 on osx 10.7.8, I feel it's easy to max out my CPU (late 2011 mbp, 2.2 i7) Reaper can handle much more plugins before showing weakness.

What's your thoughts on this?

The only concrete thing I've seen is with powerscaling, and that only has to do with low-latency performance. In Windows you can turn off powerscaling (IE it ramps up the processor speed to cope with the processing load in real-time) so it's always running full-bore, but in OS X you can't. In theory that means your CPU is lagging a bit when ramping up during low-latency tracking with a lot of plugins running, but I've literally never, ever had a problem with it on either FW or PCI/MADI interfaces.
