The well-known German band CUSTARD have signed a worldwide deal with us and are hailing back with a new album after 4 years. It will be released onto all metal heads in October 2012. The band has gone straight forward on their way and put more US influences in the new release. More in the next weeks.

We are very happy that CUSTARD signed to us. Since years, Chris Klapper (dr) is a very good friend of us and now we will work together on the base of the label too.

" You mean, there is a label consisting of Heavy Metal fans who drive the biz basically for the music ? Are we home finally ? That were like a dream coming true ! The new CUSTARD album, "Infested By Anger", will be officially released worldwide on October 26, 2012.

CUSTARD have been active since 1987 but never really made it out of the underground. They released four studio albums between 1999 and 2008, and their fifth album now is the first to be released by Pure Steel Records.

Their older material was influenced by European Power Metal à la HELLOWEEN and GAMMA RAY, but now they’re trying a different style. Now their sound is more like US-metal, with high-pitch screams, which might remind you a bit of the God of Metal himself, Rob Halford. The vocals are accompanied by harmonic twin-guitars of the MAIDEN-school and a thundering double-bass. The production is very powerful which perfectly underlines the musical passion of this quintet. Their new guitarist, Anna Olejniczak, is the first female band member of CUSTARD.

This new album is a dangerous Heavy Metal attack from Germany: Watch out and beware!

Since the beginning CUSTARD were a phenomena in Teutonic Steel. From 0 to 100 they bursted into the scene with great old school Heavy Metal songs. Of course a lot of bands play that style, but CUSTARD always made the "more" in songwriting, power and melody.

Fortunately nothing has changed for CUSTARD these days. Vocalist Olli Strasser and his two guitarists Stefan Absorber and Carsten Reichart still find their own way to create great riffings and melodies based on the concrete of Chris Klapper and Markus Berghammer. The lyric themes vary from catchy to extraordinary and with small -yet precious- ingredients like folky tunes along other little enrichements the songs get this special "thing" to make it a must for fans of HELLOWEEN to JUDAS PRIEST. "A Realm of Tales" leave an overall statement: The masters are back!

The release date of the of the new album "Imperium Rapax" by the German Power Metal Band CUSTARD on CD is December 3rd, 2021. The pre-order phase will start on November 26th, 2021 in our webshop.

It's almost a tradition that CUSTARD come around the corner with a new work every four to five years. Almost exactly four years have passed since ´A Realm Of Tales´ and the quintet from North Rhine-Westphalia arrives on time with their new round album ´Imperium Rapax´. In fact, his seventh studio album by now. Indestructible? It looks like this!

The band led by singer Olli Strasser meets the high demands of all classic metallers, just like the Powermetal faction. The songs are even more sophisticated, the production more powerful, the implementation more lively than on the celebrated previous albums. This time, the five gentlemen have tackled the topic of the Roman Empire. Battle hymns alternating with deeply emotional moments underline the complexity of the experienced warriors. A positive further development can be attested in every respect. Songs to bawl along in the ranks of the legionnaires adorn the latest work as well as the fragile silence after a lost battle. The dynamic in the songwriting leaves no eye dry and a touch of history wafts through the loudspeakers at home.

With this new collection of songs, CUSTARD will not only be interesting for fans of the Teutonic competition - fans of Blind Guardian, Grave Digger, Rage and the like can strike absolutely blind here - but it will also be of interest to supporters of the British guild, consisting of priests and iron maidens, plenty of material offered. Perfect? Maybe!
