Are these cheaper in the US than they are in Europe? The go for about a thousand EUR a pair here.

Kinda feel like I see every odd band that has just started touring using them already. Or do they all just bite the bullet and invest in a pair of those regardless of the cost?

also ich hab ohr und more, schau mal nach denen, hab damals 350 euro dafür bezahlt. klingen zwar etwas matt, aber mit nem grafischen eq passt das.
die sind jetzt aber wohl teurer...
schaumal : www.ohrundmore.de
sehr grad die sind wesetnlich teurer als früher... aber vlt. reichen dir auch die 2wege systeme.

i got mine a couple of years ago at ohrundmore.de , they are pretty cheap for what you get.

yeah....whatever he said i agree...but also...

...i was gonna do that too man, and to be honest, it is great to have custom fit in ears, but you should really consider anything from Etymotic Research. Great great earbuds, excellent sound, and super confortable. they are also very small so they'll fit very nice on your ears and will be unnoticeable.

Welchen von Ohr und More hast du denn? 1, 2 oder 3 Wege?
Btw, bin grad auf deinem MySpace. Let Them Fail / Cleansation klingt sehr geil!!

Hey man, I can't really believe those Etymotic isolate noise by 35-42 dB as they state on the page... Also they don't seem to have custom-fitted ones?

Anyway, I'm not looking into buying in-ears atm. Was really just curious why all the young bands seem to have them even though they're kinda expensive. Think I figured it out though. After I posted I looked around a bit. I guess they all just have the UE 4 Pro which cost only 400 USD / 488 EUR. That seems to be quit affordable/reasonable.

On a side note - DO WANT: http://ultimateears.com/en-us/products/18-pro :D Godamit, they cost. 1.444 EUR!

custom fitting is only about comfort, the isolation sometimes is lower than standard ones.
I really doubt that. Can't speak about in-ear phones but for ear-plugs my custom-fitted ones definitely block more than standard ones even though they should block the same. The standard ones can never fill-out your ear as good as custom ones can so I think it's quite logical.

Believe me, 42 dBs isolation is much more than enough, most of the time you don't want that much isolation because of the vibe, the crowd, the live sound. And standard ones can give you 42 dBs.

Sometimes, fitted ones come equipped with a system to switch from 40 to 20 dBs for that purpose.

So, isolation itself, is not generally a reason to jump from standard to custom.
