alright guys im new to samples still and im wondering how the hell you cut the bastards up without cutting some of the sound up. ive been driving myself crazy trying to get samples cut up but i can never hit the right spot. is there any easy way that i dont know about in sonar? thanks.:erk:

I just zoom in really far and split it right where the sound wave begins.

+1, more specifically, you want to cut it where the sound wave is crossing the zero line. When a sound wave is on the "up" side it represents a speaker pushing out, and when a sound wave is on the "down" side it represents a speaker pulling in. So, the middle zero line represents no speaker movement, which this is where you can make a cut without there being an obvious click sound.

I'm not entirely sure that I explained this in a 100% politically correct way, but but I at least know that I'm not seriously misguiding you
