Mort, you probobly know the band I'm about to recommend you, but if you don't I strongly addive pickign up their album. Band's name is Slint, and their album Spiderland is amazing. Think Heavy post-rock, and thats about on. Seriously, anyone who says "post rock isnt true, its for faggy hipster who wear floodpants and think their intellectual" , stfu Slint owns your asses. I don't listen to a whole lot of non-metal (maybe like 10 non metal bands on choice) but Slint are just too good.
