I wanted to give your Tom Nouga CDs a spin, but two aren't playable anymore :(
Fantomsmärtor & Pengarna eller ladan :(
You know, they're crackeling although there is no scratches on them. Guess the CD-R's have become to old. I could save Fönster. The copy of a friend of mine isn't playable, too.
Maybe you could send me the Mp3s if it's ok with you.

Bad,bad. I thought the CD-R would last a bit longer
I guess it´s a combintaion of CD brand/burner. I have some CD:s with
the same problem and some burnt 10 years ago with my first burner
and they play OK (the price for the burner was 300 euro and it burned 2x )
Hopefully the new CD/burners are better
I´ll see what i can do about it

Thank you for caring.
I guess it's about the brand but also maybe because of the glue from the CD label. Because the top side of the CD mostly is the problem and scratches on the back are not that bad.
But thanks for solving the problem :D

You´re right ! My next buy is a printer that prints on the CD itself.

I love Dag's albums... though I never play them from CD.
I ripped them straight away to my computer.
to save the CD's.

though, unicorn, it might also be the cd player. old cd players weren't that picky about what they played, as these new DVD things.

No, it's not because of the player, its everywhere even in PC drives.
But Dag allready helped me out :headbang:
Why do you think I use a new DVD thingie to play CDs? My CD player is as vintage as I am :loco: ;)

Unfortunately, the chemicals used to make CDRs recordable break down over time. There's no way of knowing how long they'll last, either. I have some that are really old and play fine. Others I have are much newer and are all jacked up. It sucks because I've lost some of my own music this way. No one ever told us in the beginning that CDRs would crap out eventually. Pisses me off. I still have cassette tapes with demos on them from when I was 14 years old, like 18 years ago! Yet some CDRs are a year old and all fucked up. Pffft!
