I was wondering when someone might bring up ol' Damien!

Purely by chance, I saw him perform live last year...impressive set of songs 'specially his newer unreleased songs that were a little more "angry". They irishman is indeed a great musician, and chics dig em, so I guarentee I'll be seein him in a few weeks again!

ALSO: band that opened for Damien last year, Pedestrain....newly formed band of some old indie rock collaborators...they really kick ass. Live they flawlessly created some harsh soundscapes...acoustic stuff they do is also excellent stuff! Check em out: http://www.pedestrian.org
