Yeah, I can't wait for this. Especially since I had tickets to the Whirlwind tour and couldn't make with my dad getting sick at the last minute. But I will be there for this one.

dang, LA tickets are $70 :( Not sure if i'll go this time. They were fantastic last time, but don't know if i want to spend that much to see them again.

I really don't understand why they go through Calprog. It was the same thing for Flying Colors, Liquid Tension, and Flying Colors. I believe for Liquid Tension the tickets were double that of the New York City show (which you think would be the most expensive). With this tour the LA tickets are roughly $30 more than the NY show and even more for other cities.

Calprog throws some good stuff (and often REALLY close when they run Downey/Whittier) but their prices are always way too high. I thought it had to do with the bands but never bothered to check out the shows in other areas, that really sucks.

All shows at the ARCADA in St Charles, IL are expensive.

For $95, you can buy a floor seat to TateRyche and Quiet Riot!!!!

I skipped King's X because of the cost. It'd be a convenient place for me to see concerts if the prices weren't so outrageous.

Yep, I skipped UFO there this year.
I think it was $60.

They have Cheap Trick coming up there for around $100 also.
There is a special VIP package to for $200.
The kicker is the VIP package DOES NOT include a ticket to the show.

Hahahahaha.....

Well, I guess that promoter is covering the market of older fans who are willing to pay extra to see a band in a more relaxed, non GA standing, environment.

I think last time they came through(in Downey), i think it was $60. But i paid it because i've never seen them before and it was a great show.

But now its $10 more and i don't think they will have a new album out by then will they? So i don't really know what else they would play, it was like over 3 hours last time lol

If i do see them, i may go up to San Fran i guess. Much cheaper tix for that show.

Damn!!! $100 for Cheap Trick??!!??

I saw Cheap Trick about three summers ago at this outdoor venue that is not even 2 miles from my house right here in Fredericksburg. I had a "Gold Circle" ticket which got me a seat right up front next to the stage as well as early entrance, and even then I only paid about $45 for it.

However, it was an awesome show, though.

What's worse: $100 for Cheap Trick in the Chicago area. If you live here and you want to see Cheap Trick and haven't, you're just not trying hard enough. And you can see them for far less than $100 practically anywhere else.

Yeah they basically are charging stadium pricing for shows that should be half the price. I'd like to see Transatlantic again, but not for that price.

Yep,
Cheap Trick are always great live.
They seem to be very good at playing both types of shows.

They know they have the summer party drinking type of fans who wanna see them at the local summerfest or rib fest for like $20.
They play those since I am sure the local communities who put that on give them at least $10K to play.

Then they know they have those older fans who want a safer non-rowdy type of envrionment, and pay $50 to see them at the Star Plaza Theater, etc.

Blue Oystet Cult have seemed to be doing this more lately as well.
