Darkane - Demonic Art

I found the funniest thing ever. Anybody else noticed that cat sounding noise in the intro song? (Variations...)

@ J the TyranT: Promo isn't really piracy right ?

So EVERY ONE of you guys just got the promo? Thats all I was saying. I could see some of ya, just not every one. Its whatever, I dont actually care, I just thought it was funny.

The clip on their MySpace page sounds irritating, especially the snare during the polka sections. What's with their new vocalist sounding almost exactly like their old one? I always hoped these guys would get a new vocalist, was never into their vocals except for on a couple of songs.

It's too bad, these guys are fucking amazing and I've bought all of their albums, but there's always been aspects of their music that irritate me to the point where I don't listen to them as often as I might otherwise.

The new vocalist is the dude from The Defaced. He's killer with them, but I havent heard him with Darkane yet... lemme check it out.

Yeah it DOES sound like shit.... and it sounds like they told Broman to do his best to sound like Sydow... he doesnt normally sound QUITE like that...

And yeah, the snare is god awful. WTF?

At this point: The Defaced > Darkane

The iTunes version I bought today is clipping especially during leads. It's definitely not a promo version only thing. I think the new singer is great. I liked Andreas and liked Lawrence M. a great deal too. I don't think they can do wrong, a fantastic band and from what I've heard from this disc it's as interesting as their others. I've always disliked their rhythm guitar tone compared to other bands. I'm convinced this is the sound they want after a few albums of similar tones. I'm fine with that, I listen to them for inspiration to not suck at guitar and drums, but fail miserably in comparison to Christofer and Peter. OT but did anyone read that Peter Wildoer will be playing drums on the next Old Man's Child? That's quite ridiculous but I am eager to see what that will sound like.
