Love this album. I know some of you aren't into the kvlt brootz black metal, but this is one classic that does it for me. Makes me want to worship satan, drink, punch someone, and bang metal sluts.

Anyone with me?

Bah. Sorry. Since Romania is like my adopted second home (thanks to my wife), and Transylvania is (IMHO) the most beautiful region in the country and my favorite place to visit, I'm instantly turned off by the title. Damn you Brahm Stoker.

Haha, I can imagine. I've wanted to visit the region for a while. I'd like to go there and copulate with the women. Eastern Euros = \m/.

Hahaha. Don't get me wrong, I take it all in humor. :) And if I can remember later, I'll post or at least PM you a few pictures of the real Transylvania. Too bad I can't send you food samples too. :D lol

Cool, sounds good. Yeah, I'm aware of the history of Vlad and all of that, and how it's not vampires in capes drinnnnkin your blooood..haha. But it's just a damn good album if you are into old, crusty BM!

Damn I need an eastern bloc vacation.

I'll have to give it a spin just out of curiosity now. :) Damn, now you've got me ready to take another trip too. It's not my home, but man do I love the food and the homemade wines and plum brandy! :D

If you have heard old, crusty BM, you mighhhht like it. Like Burzum or the first Mayhem disc.

I hear you dude. Every time I go to Europe I don't want to leave. I might move to Munich for an extended vacation when I have the dough.

The idea of Mark listening to black metal (especially fucking Darkthrone :loco: ) makes me :lol::lol: :D

Don't make me drag you by your ears boy! (joking) You'd be surprised at the breadth of my musical taste. ;) I was rocking Dimmu - En Sorte Diabole at work today...while simultaneously reading about Baphomet on Wikipedia. Then my computer decided to crash with a memory dump. I guess just a little too much darkness all at one time. :goggly:  (OT: hope to work more on that solo for you tonight!)

I think ABitNS is better, but Transilvanian Hunger almost certainly accomplished what it set out to do. Still a phenomenal record by far.

I love all of Darkthrone's older album and I quite enjoy the newer stuff as well. This band has a sincerity and attitude few can even hope to come close to. My favorite albums from Darkthrone is A blaze in the northern sky and Transivanian hunger.
