Tonight's (December 5) finale of the FOO FIGHTERS' "Sonic Highways" series is set in New York City and even though they have seven episodes behind them, Dave Grohl says he still can't imagine that millions of people watch the show. He tells The Pulse Of Radio: "Seeing the finale episode, it still hasn't really sunk in. People come up to me on the street all day long and say, 'I love 'Sonic Highways'' and 'Thank you for 'Sonic Highways',' but I've been so busy doing other things that it's hard for me to imagine millions of people actually watching this show that started with a really crazy idea." FOO FIGHTERS will play a show at Irving Plaza in New York tonight (Friday, December 5) at 10:00 p.m. following a screening of episode 8. The tickets, priced at just $20, go on sale this morning and are only available at the Irving Plaza box office. This may not be the end of "Sonic Highways" for FOO FIGHTERS fans who can't get enough of the behind the scenes footage and the lessons in music history. In an interview with Jon Stewart on December 3, when the "Daily Show" host pointed out that there are more than eight cities out there, Dave Grohl told him, "there might be a season 2." FOO FIGHTERS last month released its new album, also titled "Sonic Highways", which the HBO series has chronicled. FOO FIGHTERS will tour North American stadiums and arenas next year in support of the album, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
