whats the point in a signature cab when theres no signature amp?
whilst speakers etc play a huge part in the sound this cab wont get you anywhere near his sound surely?

yeah it looks a solid cab this does, and agreeing on marcus about another cab with v30s, would be very interested at trying this out. Daves using Marshall JVM heads, so why would he need a signature one when this one delivers?
the mesa still ways quite a bit more, the mustaine cab weight only 3kg's more then the regular, that could be the metal grill they use alone.

Mesa Trad 4x12 = 44.91kg
Marshall DV 4x12 = 43kg
Both slant figures there, there's hardly anything in it.

you have to compare with the 1960AV, that one weights 40.3 kg's, the regular 1960A's have the g75T speakers with smaller magnets
weight difference could still be in the metal grill alone

Wait, T75's have smaller magnets even though they have bigger voice coils and more power handling?
yups, have a look at the specs on the celestion website.
A V30 weights 4.7 kg's
A G12T-75 only 3.5 kg's
the voice coil diameter seems to be the same, both 44.5 mm
but anyhow, i don't think the weight of the wood is that important, if they made it more solid, better bracing etc... it would have an effect on the sound too, and using a grill vs a cloth before the speakers should have it's influence too.µ
i beleave Mustaine had those custom cabs for quite a while now. i remember having seen those on stage.

hahaha yeah the thing looks ace, always loved daves cabs in looks wise from back on the world needs a hero tours.. id happily get rid of some kit for this cab!

Thats the big decider, if its fairly cheap it will sell well, if its near the £700/800 mark its in the price bracket where its shaded by its competition.
