DDR - new music for Katatonia fans!

Hello everybody!

If you enjoy mainstream rock/pop with Greenlandic lyrics, check out DDR from Nuuk, Greenland. I personally created their MySpace-page, so I thought I'd let you guys know.

When I read the topic I thought of "Deutsche Demokratische Republik" [former Eastgermany] *lol* ...

Hm... it's a really relaxing style of music and the language sounds strange but interesting *g* Sounds good, I like it =) ...but it's nothing I would listen to often when I want to hear music 'cause it's a bit tooooo slow for me

Well, they have stuff that's bit more up-tempo, but I ended up taking all the ballads off the album because these are the songs that I enjoy most. Obviously, this is as midddle-of-the-road as it gets, but what the heck. It's good stuff, I think, especially when you're driving through the countryside on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Well, not quite. The second part of the chorus actually goes: "Unnuk manna tamatta pigaarput", which translates to: "The night is all ours".

Pretty close though.

It's not that bad... But wait some weeks to hear some very decent Katatonia inspirted music!

We make Katatonia influenced music (it's not that obvious though when listening to it, it's surely not a rip-off) but we can't find a singer. Been looking for over a year.

There is also a band called "DDR" in Turkey.They make Joy Division influenced music.They sound more Katatonic then Greenlads's DDR.
