[Death Metal] need tips on the mix!

Take some more care of low mids. Either guitar or bass should be dominant there. Try to tame them in the bass first, and see how it sits.
I like the part from ~1:00, but this constant boom from guitars is quite distracting ;)

thank you for your feedback :) Ive already high passes the guitar tracks at 100hz.. should i shift it further? and how exactly should i handle the low mids? sorry for the stupid questions.. im new to this :s

For the low mids, you need simply to have a scoop at 250-500 area, thats where the mud is,

and slightly around 600-800 as well.

The tremelos sound fine.

But teh chugs were wayyy too low mid heavy.

Imo, drums could be more powerful. and bass brought up a bit.

But im no expert.

That's pretty vague question for whole metal mixing and production haha

Tips above are good starting point. Also, take a look at Ermz' "Poking holes in high gain guitars" - you can find more general guidelines to this topic.

cheers

edit:generally high pass @ 70-80hz is enough for most cases. Anything more than 100hz is super-high imo.

I totally get what you're going for in the chugs, I like it, but I agree you need to control a little bit the low mids. For this genre I always like to have the bass clearly audible especially in the chuggy parts, try scooping somewhere between 250 and 500 (sweep around, find a sweet spot) to leave more space for the bass, maybe multiband compression on the lows/low mids would also help, as it's in the chugs where it's most noticeable.
