Chalice of Ages just clicked like a 12 gauge shotgun. This album has more of an epic doom feel than it does death metal. It's as if the band members hopped themselves up on Ambien before recording. Has any one heard the band Antropomorphia which they covered? That particular track, and the entire last half of the album in general is simply divine.

Yeah, it's far from your typical Death Metal. For all of their Old School pandering, they sure take a different path (albeit from the same starting point). I would describe them as Atmospheric Death/Doom Metal.

Received "Chalice of the Ages" on Sat and and thus far spinned it once...and I'm quite pleased with it!
