Deathmatch: Dimebag or Jeff?

If Dimebag and Jeff were put in a ring to duke it out both musically and physically, who would come out the victor? Is this even a fair match?

Physically, i don'tknow who would win. Dime(who would more than likley be drunk off of his ass) would be at a disadvantage for being drunk offhis ass, therefore not being able to throw staright punches and stuff. So, physically it would be Jeff in that situation.

Musically, I think it would Jeff for sure. Have you heard that 2:30 second(or something like that) solo?!?!? Dime couldn't do that!

Jeff all the way.

Here is a version of the story:
...the challengers enter the ring. PPL are overexciting -most of them supporting Jeff (esp. the girlies:lol:), but some others Dimebag. They both hold their guitars with them. While Jeff doing the "hallo fans" thing showing his muscles to the girlies while presoloing, Dimebag shows him the middle finger, telling him to fuck off. Jeff gets really pissed at Dimebag and crashes his guitar on Dimebags head. Dimebag turns arround and returns the hit destroying his guitar on Jeffs head. Thus no guitars to be able to reach a winner on that part. Jeff blacks out. Seemingly the physical winner is Dimebag. But very angry young girl enters the ring crying because Dimebag hit Jeff and she feared that the cutie would be harmed. She grabs Dimebag and throws him off the ring. So there is no physical winner either.
But the girl grabs a third guitar that was arround and starts soloing without end. Both guys having regained conciousness listen to the young girl's solo.
They hang each other and go out for an AMSTEL.
The story ends with Jeff and Dimebag taking up KARATE and guitar lessons from the little 12 year old girl wich is the little cousin of Chuck Shuldinner.

Chuck (and his little cousin) rules:headbang:

"It must be strange, to not have lived
so far into existense"

normally i don't care about pantera! but i know what their guitarist looks like (at least one of them if they had not only one...) because i saw a video from "walk". i looked if he could kick jeffs ass physically but his guitar skills didnT' impress me much...

He throws non-metal guys inthe pool, if you haven't got a dyed beard, you are not evil to him. He is a wonder boy.

hahahaha

It depends, what ERA dimebag?? If it was a 'cowboys' era dimebag, he would Caine Jeff's ass... but if it was a present day 'hey, i smoked too much of phil's crack, and now i can't feel my fuckin' feet!!' dimebag, then Jeff would kill him.

Dime and Jeff both play different styles of guitar, so that can't be tested between them, but otherwise, Dimebag is a skinny mother-fucker, JUST TAKE A LOOK AT HIM ON THE BACK OF 'VDOP'... SKINNY BASTARD!! Eat some steak!!

Jeff would kill him at guitaring stamina too, Dime was terrible on '101 proff', partly because he was drunk, but still, he didn't even play 80% of his solos, he just made noise and shit...

The really good album by Pantera is called
"POWER METAL" dudes...
These guys are really a strange case, interesting but strange.
They started in the early-mid 80's playing somewhat heavier than hard rock, turned to heavy metal, turned to power metal, turned to (new)thrash metal, turned to death metal and they keep going. Excellent musicianship and quite original. They are not my favorite, but I recognise their contribution (which is big) to the scene.
Their first four albums are very rare. Well their official site doesnot mention them, but I don't think that this is very good.

Imo there comparisson is unfair because Dimebag has been in the scene very much longer (musically), whereas he hangs out with Anselmo. That says it all for the physical part.

Thanks for all the interesting replies! Yesterday I got to thinking and I also thought that Dimebag wouldn't last because he'd be drunk off his ass!

"Vai is for girlies"? Dude, get a grip. Vai is easily the best guitarist alive. That being said, he really doesn't belong in a conversation about metal guitarists. For my money. Loomis is the best guitarist in the genre.

ha! have you seen any videoclip of the guy? girlies admiring him. OK, his technical skills are great, but he is just for the show off. Passion and Warfare? Come on dude! He is good, but even more than that he is handsome. :heh:

Having seen Vai live 6 times, I can say the following two for sure:

1 - there are almost no woman at a Steve Vai show.

2 - he is even more brilliant live then on CD.

Additionally, "Passion & Warfare" is easily one of my Top 5 CDs of all-time. Just pure brilliance.

I guess i am in no position of arguing with a general, so i leave it as is. i will keep thinking that SV is for girlies but won't try to convince you anymore. just let me in my dreamworld, listening to Metal guitarists alone. Keep me quarantined.
