I heard the rumor, there was NO editing done for the drums! At least Mark Lewis wrote it on his FB page. Sean Reinert is a beast!

Wanna hear this too... we mixed an album at Morrisound in 2004... Jim Morris did a great job for us, to bad they got broken into recently.
I could have done without all the weird phaser in the beginning, and the bass still isn't present enough IMO, all you hear is a little clack here and then. Sounds a lot better though, they didn't make it too ridiculously modern and clean.

But wasn't the phaser in the original too? And you can hear the little bass harmonics in the intro. =)

Wow. Normally I hate when people go back and dick around with old stuff, but I can get into this. The original "Human" kind of sounded like ass, and for Jim Morris to rework it so you can actually hear what's going on, is an awesome thing. Can't wait to hear the rest of this.

Alesis D4 came out in 1992 (or 1991?), and on Def Leppard's Hysteria (1987) and various metal albums they used sample replacement/enhancement even before that

I thought I read somewhere that Sean said they didn't use any replacement drums on Human....could be wrong.
