Is their anywhere besides Utopia for a decent selection of metal? Im around the mountains area so can you guys recommend any places worth going to?
And don't say Sanity or HMV because the last time I checked them Sepultura's 'Arise' was fucking 32 bucks (and was about the heaviest thing there)
Cheers.

Brian's wall is inside Brian's house, and is holding up Brian's roof. Brian's house is also in the mountains. Brian's house is a log cabin that he built with his own two hands and his pappy's rusty axe. He's a hermit with a long grey beard and makes a living trapping foxes. He has tamed a wild bear, and wears a hat made out of racoon skins. Some say he has the gift of second sight, but most folks agree that he's just a loon.

Actually, that may not be Brian. I may have mixed him up with someone else.

JB is JB-Hifi. It's a record store. A HAUNTED record store, where the...I'll stop now.

Sodamn, if you ever come back after this introduction to our madness, the only place in the mountains you'll get metal CDs is at the music store at the top end of Katoomba Street next to Mac Free Zone. They don't have very much though. There's also Hits and Myths in Leura, but I don't think they have much in the way of metal there. Lazy Daze Records in Penrith has good quality second hand stuff too. Otherwise you can go to JB Hi Fi in Church St, Parramatta.

JB-Hifi? I always thought it was JV-Hifi, atleast thats what it sounds like on the ads... what a shame that its the best and closest place, but I did get Cowboys from Hell for $13 bucks which was pretty good.
Can anyone recommend some good Aussie distros? (?) Places like Metalmayhem?
Cheers.

There's a lot of small indie metal distros around the place, just depends what you're looking for, though. Most of them deal with small Aussie bands or really underground, cult black and death metal bands. PM if you're interested and I can send a list of email addresses to check out.
