I'm so psyched! Just bought my ticket and made hotel reservation. It looks like the closest hotels are on the other side of the Westminster mall, but still maybe close enough to drunkenly stagger back after the show, instead of having to take a cab. ;)

So... what can I expect in terms of weather on the drive up (I-25 from Albuquerque)? Last time I drove to Colorado, it was snowy .. and that was in APRIL(?!) when Exodus played in CoSprings.

Definitely Cold!
but you never know how the roads will look. I would think the drive should go fine, I-25 gets a high priority to keep it open and running smooth.

Isn't that a long ass drive? I really wanted to fly out for that show... but sniff sniff sniff.... I spent all my xmas cash on snowboarding for New Years.

Someone better take a bunch of photos!!

Only about 6-7 hours, and I have some other things I'll be doing in the general area to help .. uh .. amortize the expense. (But sheesh, compared to what I spend/endure travelling to fests like Progpower and CMF, this is nothing!) I'm goin' to another metal show (nobody famous) in Colorado Springs (at the Navajo Hogan Roadhouse, if anyone's curious) the night before. I just hope the C'Springs show is really metal, not mislabelled "metalcore" (my constant fear when checking out unknown-to-me bands).

I intend to take my camera. I'm a really lousy/untalented photographer, but if I come up with anything decent, sure, I'll share.

They are filming the show actually!
I asked Mark about photos/video yesterday, so hopefully we can get some live footage from the show on the website!
