So this is my band, Eve of Conviction, and we've been working on this song for a couple weeks now. The mix I'm aiming for is a very clean yet crunchy, almost live mix, similar to A Plea For Purging's latest album.

I need to do something different with the guitars - for now I put them through pod farm so I could have some placeholders, but I don't have much, and the pod farm tracks just sound so... cold.

Also, please remember that this is a HUGELY rough mix. I've barely edited anything or added any of the other stuff that's gonna be in there and blah blah blah.

Nice track, but one thing drop in my eye is sampled drums. I think best way to get out of that is better velocity editing. If you need i can lend a hand a bit in my spare time!

The kick is all slate, kicks 10 and 16. Waves SSL comp, shitloads of 100-200Hz swept out, some 2 and 10K-on boosts and a tiny bit of reverb. I'll try my hand at changing up the velocities some more.
