monday: new deftones album out. I'm curious as hell! their CDs are absolute masterpieces. no weak album at all. (few weak tracks as usual of course)

if I'm lucky thay have it the store today...

I don't know many songs from em, but i listened to there new one, Minerva, after the first listen it's ok, but nothing more. Change is good, and My own summer either.

Yeah it's like all one level, no lows or highs emotionally and quite dull, being a huge fan of White Pony particularly, I would be disappointed to see them lose that sense of emotional exploration achieved on that album and JUST become another nu-metal band

Deftones are like the only '''''Nu-metal''''' band that I (still) like. Adrenaline is an awesome album, Around the Fur is very okay and White Pony was an album that really had to grow on me but I love it now.
So, I'm curious to hear that new one, but if they've become just another nu-metal band I might not even bother checking it.

I like the tracks "Digital bath", "around the fur", "head up" (feat. max from Soulfly), "Mascara", "Bored", "7 days" & "passenger" (feat. Maynard from tool) the most... But all their albums are ace!

Come on Pieter, you know nothing beats the whole Adrenaline album
But for White Pony, Change is a good track yeah. Knife Prty is awesome. Oh and Passenger of course.

And I was glad to see you calling them spooky core (fuck you nu metal ). It doesn't sound anything like let's say Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park hmm.

and other killertracks are: around the fur, back to school, be quiet and drive far away, birthmark, bored, digital bath, elite, head-up (of course), ihabia (ooooh), knife party, lifter, lotion, mascara *shivers* , my own summer shove it, on eweek and passenger

But fred durst have promised a FREE european tour in august... Is it one more lie, like the street date of the new album, pushed back in september?!
