Deicide didn't show up... I left before Hate Eternal..
So it turned out ot be a good show. Someone I know there also commented that he met you before and you're a cool person...

Cattle Decapitation wasn't there either. I wasn't looking forward to seeing htem, but apparently they have an awesome live show...

But Krisian kicked a lot of fucking ass.

Deicide at the NJ fest was pathetic. Glen sounded like he was going to pass out after every song. I actually thought he needed help. I never understood the mass appeal for them, when you have bands in the same genre that are much, much better.

i do recall seeing deicide open for morbid angel a year or two ago, and glenn did sound a bit raspy on everything. also, shitty. but that's more intrinsic in the music.
some of the old deicide stuff actually was rhythmically interesting, like from legion or once upon the cross, but after that they got really stupid.


as far as hate eternal, i've only heard a few songs live, and thought they were decent- the 3-piece worked well, in that his solos were well placed in the mix (since there was no 2nd guitar). but haven't really listened to their music past the 1st album. i like erik's playing, tho. some of the alas stuff is good, but most of it i can't stand because of the female vocalist having no soul.

I've never listened to hate eternal...because I stopped being BROOTHAL quite some time ago.

Deicide are OK, but I'm glad to see ametal show around here... of course I missed dimmu/cob/nevermore/hypocrisy... maybe see that in mass on 12/13

I love krisiun though, and they played well.

Mortician were OK, but their guitars were muted for their whole set.

Deadwait just sucked..
