It sounds alright in time you will get better the only thing i recommend is get your drummer tighter with consistant drum hits more metronome practice a lot more and start with slow tight blasting (for him on his own) and he will gradually increase he should have head phones on if he his using triggers so he can really get a feel for the foot work and trigger.......
Trust me when i tell ya this so many drummers ask me why im a fast and a tight death metal player and this is why you cant really judge how fast you can go without one ....There is potential there
.........I jammed with a guy that never practiced his guitar ever came to the spot cold as ice and i was LEARNING how to drum mind you 6 years later he stayed at 20% and i hit 110% thakns to a metronome and in 3 years with it i went from a sloppy 160BPM 1/16 notes to a solid 220 1/16 Then i cashed out after 5 years takes time and a ton of patience but it will get there awesome
