He's defo still listed on their myspace. Either they had a fill-in or he just looked really different...

I don't remember why, family or injury or some issue, anyway they had a fill in drummer for awhile. Seems like they posted some video on youtube with the guy filling in. He nailed it though.

...maybe it wasn't super tight in the tracking stages and when Andy edited those notes he thought they went in a different place than intended?

I can't imagine this being the case at all. It was tracked by Yannick St. Amand, who used to be in the band and is a total badass, not to mention the guys in the band are tighter than fuck on their instruments, and Andy said it was one of the cleanest and best recorded sessions he's ever received.

That said I didn't notice on the first listen - will check now!

Yeah I can't imagine that being the case either...I'm from Canada dude, I've been a fan of the band for years and seen 'em live a dozen or so times, they are as tight as it gets! Regardless, it's different live vs. the CD.

Check this, each dash is a 16th note... CD version is on top, live version is underneath. You can see the offending notes quite clearly.

It's worse than truckercaps, it's the "gangsta" fitted hat flat-brim nonsense that hardcore people have been adopting

Of course not, if a band played music I liked I wouldn't care how they looked - it's just people who wear "fitteds" often play breakdowns, and in this case DI is no exception :erk:
