Devin Townsend Guitar Rig Vid

All advertising aside, that's a great vid. Having only seen a SYL DVD once, looking at him I thought what's with this weird freaky looking dude. Now after seeing that, I understand. Gotta love Hoglan's drumming also. How he can manage to get those worn out legs moving so fast on the bass drums is astounding.

I still want to know where the G-Force is in the signal-chain.

I agree. I'd like to know if he's running a wet/dry setup with the G-Force and the 2:90 or in the loop of his Recto and Stiletto in stereo, what exactly he's using the Boss thing for- a pre with effects into the 2:90? How he has his GCX set up, etc...

Great tones though. And I can speak from experience that the Recto and Stiletto are excellent in combination with each other.

Yeah just checked, there's two 5150's in the studio in the Synchestra studio recording videos. I guess he uses the Mesa stuff for SYL.

I'm pretty sure the DVD with the Synchestra CD was actually recorded during the Accelerated Evolution sessions. It was supposed to be released around the time of A.E as a separate DVD but for some reason it wasn't and just ended up being bundled together with Synchestra.

I don't think so. In that video he talks about his LTD 7 string and how it played a major role in the album. Accelerated Evolution is all in open C major though. Does anyone else think the tones on Accelerated Evolution and Ocean Machine destroy the new tone on Ziltoid?
