Brutal US-style death metal, one of the best bands in the genre along with the likes of Disgorge (Californian), Prophecy, Brodequin, Sect Of Execratrion and other.

well, yeah they are brutal death metal.
but they are nowadays considered one of the most influential 'Slamming Brutal Death Metal' sub-genre. (or shortly, slam death metal). The difference between this genre and brutal death metal is, that it has this certain 'slam groove' or 'slam breakdown' in their songs (mostly influenced by Dying Fetus and Suffocation). Other remarkable 'slam' bands are: Abominable Putridity, Infernal Revulsion, Heinous Killings, Cerebral Incubation, etc.
