Diabolical Masquerade update?

Yeah, I talked with him as well when they came to my area. When I asked him about bringing them back, his exact quote was: "I'm not thinking about it, I'm doing it!" That was some sweet news. He also did tell me that he wanted to tour with a band as well. That would be even better.

diabolical masquerade has a second guitar player, bass player and a drummer. we miss a keyboard player and a final solution about the vocals (complicated). however, these other guys are busy with other bands so it's not going full speed ahead. i hope to deliver some good news in 2007 on the progress.

bloodbath wacken dvd. things have moved on but got stuck again. opeth's manager managed to get clearances from roadrunner, but is now making "unrealistic demands" on mike's behalf. since mike's not even in the band and was just a guest at the time of the show as well, this is a bit tiring.

Looking fo a keyboard player and a singer? I just bought a new keyboard, my band split up a few months ago and me and our singer have just placed a want ad looking for new bandmembers..haha
Jokes a part, good luck in finding soon a stable line up, we want to see Diabolical MAsquerade live!!!!!!!!

On Mike's behalf, eh? That is quite depressing.

I hope he clears things up soon...Tumn (as well as many other loyal Bloodbath fans (like myself...oh man double parentheses)...but him specifically) is going to burst a ventricle soon if this isn't released.

Figures. Anders, have you talked to Mike about it, can't he tell his manager to quit being a dick and let this go?

ofcourse i went to mike first with a low down on the situation....
but these days, all biz has to go thru his manager and then it's all
about $ and at the time being another stalemate for bloodbath.

Well this definitely sucks, is this the final step to getting it released though? Has the video footage been watched and put together ready for release whenever this stalemate ends?

i've watched some of the footage and audio just to approve it's worthy of a release and take it to the the next level - the proper visual editing and audio mixing. But it can't be commenced until the label (at this moment century media) buy the masters from the film company and put the funds into the project and before that happens, everything needs to be contracted and this is where things are stuck. apparantly mike's manager wants a seperate piece of deal for him that has been described as unrealistic by the label. mike's manager on the other hand calls everything else a joke. we're kinda stuck in the middle.

What you just said is a joke, fuck that guy. Is it Andy Farrow, I'd like to get Bloodbath fans to spam that asshole's e-mail to tell him to remove his head from his ass. It's funny he feels that he is entitled to something when he really had nothing to do with it other than representing Mike for Opeth.

century media are very eager to be releasing the dvd (and possbible future albums). actually, the dvd cant be released on any other label than century media cuz they have the right that there shall be no re-recordings of their copyrighted songs in a period of 5 years and NMF was done in 2004, so if this dvd was to be released on another label it would have to be not sooner than mid 2009 when that expires.
however, as far as a new studio album goes, we're free to release it on whatever label we want, bloodbath is currently not signed and century media are dead worried they wont have us anymore.

Fuck 2009, we need it in 2007. I like Century Media, I hope they treated Bloodbath nicely, if so, they'd be good to stay with imo!

Here's a video from someone that recorded part of "So You Die" at Wacken, I forgot who recorded it, but I put it on my YouSendIt account for now. The quality and length are better than shitty stuff on YouTube, but it's only 36 seconds.
