I don't know why this keeps coming up. Slaughter is a good album, but nothing on it sounds like the good stuff on CFH (title track, Psycho Holiday, Cemetery Gates, Medicine Man, etc.). That being said, nothing else Pantera did after CFH sounded like the good stuff on CFH

I bet if ********* or anal cunt didn't elevate these "Pantera ripped of Exhorder" accusations, most of these protestors wouldn't even claiming this stuff so loudly. They say it like they came up with idea themselves....nothing new here.

pantera did take the sound from slaughter in the vatican but the difference is they changed it to a more groovy sound, made it more accessible etc. it wasn't a rip off but more like they heard it and took influence from it and made it their own; honestly both are cool in their own right and I love both albums (slaughter and cowboys).

I have a theory that Janick is not plugged in while on stage, except for parts where specifically HE is soloing. He's too sloppy of a player and does too many theatrics with his guitar to be plugged up 100% of the time, I think.

I agree entirely...I guess what I was getting at is the people that say "Pantera ripped off the groove from Exhorder"...most metal records at the time had more groove than the first Exhorder record. It's the sound that influenced Pantera caue Phil used to go to their shows early on.

JUST WONDERED HOW THEY CROSS OVER, never once did they say they ripped them off, which is a ncie thing to do.....oh i got this from this and that, or i heard the white noise from the tv when i blanked out after 5 cones, adn wrote this and that.
