I put it on and I was out like a light. You'd think I was just given an knock out punch by one of the boxing greats or something...

The album wasn't THAT bad dude, c'mon. I liked it better than Dance, but it did get quite tedious in some moments. I think Maiden has to learn their not Dream Theater.

I like it more and more with each listen, it's really not that bad, the songs are a bit long though.

I expected more out of Maiden, I wouldn't say it's better than the last one...
The songs are way too long I think it might have been a better effort if each track was withing 4.5 minutes, why all the long drawn out tracks?!

Again I didn't say it was the worst album I have ever heard, I just didn't like it. If you'd like to fill your skull with mediocre music by a legendary band, knock yourself out!!!!! My time is much too valuable to spend listening to subpar Maiden.... I agree Maiden isn't Dream Theater, I think they must rid themselves of Kevin Shirley, he's to them what Bob Rock was to Metallica in recent years....

Totally agree. To each its own, I don't have anything against KS producing DT but I don't want him for IM.

I like my DT progressive and I want my IM very classic metal. I don't mind one good epic song like 'Rime Of The Ancient Mariner', but I prefer 4-5 min mark songs when it comes to straighforward metal.

I think "The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg" is one of their best songs, I wished they took out the intro, it'd be awesome to start the song at the point right before the intro.

I was not blown away when I first spun it but it has gotten better and better with repeated spins. Its a damn good album.
