11. Outstanding Female Drummer (LINDA is in 3rd!)

7. Best Female Bass (Currently in 2nd!)

IT LOOKS LIKE YOU CAN VOTE MORE THAN ONCE! Go vote for the ladies!

Unfortunately in this type of voting situations the votes are not always real and people find ways to "cheat" the voting system. Also the votes don't mean that you win even if you have the most votes. It's all pre-decided who wins lately and I personally do not believe in that system and choose not to participate in these events anymore. I think it's a great way to get the local music community together for a night of celebrating our local talent but I just wish it was real. Thank you to those who supported us an voted though!! It is always so appreciated!

I see what you mean Linda. The numbers sure did change overnight. :err:

Ah well, twas a thought.

Jim

I still find it funny that their are two seperate catagories for guys and girls, why not simply best guitarist, bassist, etc... The IM's would still get all my votes!! Last I seen Girls and guys all play the same instruments with the same limbs and sing out the same hole!

I voted . There has to be something wrong with this contest. Because the maidens should be in 1st place . This is rigged !!!!!!!

I shudder to think of what other holes one would sing from.... but I digress.

The fact that it lets you vote more than once allows for some major skew in the voting. Regardless of whether our votes impact the outcome, I wanted to show some love to the ladies and up their vote count. In my mind (don't go there, it's dangerous enough for me) if the votes are high for the ladies, then anyone that isn't a fan already may decide to go check out a show, or even look them up on the web. Maybe it's the street team part of me (or even that I know what promoting a band can be like), but I'm all about spreading the word and upping the irons!
