Read 'em and weep...
US metal band Prototype play a mix of progressive metal and thrash and they do that superb. The band is fronted by guitarist and vocalist Vince Levalois. And especially his vocal delivery is simply awesome! Both Levalois and guitarist Kragne Lum write all the material. One of the reasons I like this disc so much is that it had a very natural guitar sound. Nothing is overproduced here. It sounds like a metal guitar should sound; raw and heavy. Maybe the best aspect of this album is the songwriting. There is not a weak song on this album. After hearing it a few times you will find yourself playing it over and over again. I dont know why this band is not better known. If there would be any justice Prototye would be playing Prog-Power US next year. One of the better albums of the year.
