DIO DEAD!!!

I actually can't believe it, but at 7:45 this mourning Dio, the legend, passed away. He will be sorely missed by the entire metal community.

I definitely think the loss of RJD will be felt by many and for a long time. He was truly one of the godfathers of Metal and such an intelligent and classy gentleman as well.

I've been a Dio fan for many years now, I especially loved his tenure in RAINBOW, and I even have the "Trying To Burn The Sun" and "Carolina County Ball" records by ELF on vinyl. I regularly listen to Dio's stuff anyhow but I think I'll be giving it extra spins this week. R.I.P

Agreed Larry,
I am much more a fan of his RAINBOW material than his solo.
Though I do like his solo material.
There is something so magical lyrically and vocally with his RAINBOW and SABBATH material.

Ritchie Blackmore's RAINBOW and LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL were a couple of my first metal LPs (yes, LPs) ever!

Same here, I do own both "Lock Up the Wolves" and "Strange Highways", both have some great tunes.

"Dehumanizer" is without a doubt one of the most underated metal alnums out there, imo.

He's one of the few I always wanted to see live but never did.
