Hahaha u funny Abryl.... :worship: anyways i never thought Maiden could do without Bruce (i'm sure blaze and paul fans want to string me up for that lol ) and still dont... and though i love priest from the 80's Halford was never one of my fave vocalists.. so my list is:

1. Bruce
2. Ronnie Dio
3. Halford

In this order:

Dickinson
Dio
Halford

Dio was awesome and Holy Diver is a real classic. There's no doubt about that. But I've always liked the air raid siren better. Just think of Children Of The Damned or Hallowed Be Thy Name. As for Halford y'all can flame me but I have never been a big fan of him or the Priest. I love Painkiller and have the Metal Works best of but that'll do it for me.

I agree with the feeling on Halford from DS. He is an excellent vocalist, but aside from Painkiller, Priest always sounded a bit dated to me. I always kind of felt like I was 8-10 years behind actually understanding Priest (well, maybe because I was :Spin: )

So for Bryant's actual post for Mid-80's, Mine would go:

Dickinson
Dio
Tate

Although if your only exposure of Dio's singing is from the 80's on, then you are definitely missing the best of Dio. If you have anything from him circa 1976 when he sung for Rainbow, then you'll know what I mean. He just sounds more energized and his range is a wee-bit higher and stronger. His performance on Rainbow Live In Germany is completely unbelievable! :headbang:

:worship: he is THE METAL GOD! Hail!

I might change my mind to having Dickinson and Dio as a tie and having Halford as 2nd after them.. I recently rebought Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell and the little guy has one hell of a voice.. and still is strong despite his advancing age.. but if not I'll keep my original list if not for the fact that I was always a bigger Maiden fan..
