I think 'Discouraged Ones' is one of my Top 10 favorite albums ever.
In my opinion it is THE Katatonia album - will they ever recapture the atmosphere found on this classic?

Good Job!
Finally a review that describes the mental experience of this(these) album(s). Allmost all the reviews I've read, says too much about the riffs, the "rock"-sound, and other superficial experiences.
Katatonia is too much about the mental experience (I guess and hope) for the most of the fans. So this is a very good job, a review from the mind.

you know how he says that discouraged ones was a soundtrack to his personal circumstances? that's the same with me for LFDGD. I just love how Katatonia can do that to us. I still have yet to buy DO... i'm not sure whether i should get that or TD first.

really good, I love all the albums of the Katatonia, but I think that for some aspects DO is mine preferred...

nice, DO is also my favorite (it took me a while to admit this to myself, but probably just as much as Brave Murder Day - in a totally different way) it's a really spititual and beautiful release, definetly in my top 10 also.
