What I really like about the album is how it nods its head towards tech metal, such as Cynic et al, and yet never becomes just a technical project.
Maybe its the way they mix the black metal influence into the technical death metal style, allowing the emotive nature of black metal blend with the technicality of the other.
Thoughts?
