Disperse - Foreward

heard this the other day. It's good but it didn't hit me like Enigma of Abode did the first time I heard it. Need to hear more.

This is more reminiscent of their first album, which is a more spacey and ambient affair. I'm wondering if they're back to that or if it's going to be a mix or what. I like it, but I prefer the more punchy approach of Living Mirrors more.

These guys are hit or miss with me. Strangely enough it is the vocals that throw me off. When they are on - these guys just slay for me - when they are off - I just can't get it. LOL! So depending on the song or day, lol - I may or may not dig this band. I wish that they would do an instrumental album of the spacey stuff they do so well. The first song on their last cd is a perfect example of why I love them when they are on. This song - I like - so hopefully this will be a good representation of what the rest of the cd will sound like.

If you want instrumental Disperse then I would recommend checking out Jakub Zytecki's solo material. There's a lot of it out there, and a good bit of it was adapted into Disperse songs. Kid's killer.

I REALLY want to like this band. I love the guitar player but it is the vocals that kill it for me. Prefer this song to the first one but the voice is what prevents me from grabbing on.

That's so fascinating. Disperse is one of the only Djenty bands that I actually like because the vocals aren't scene-kid sounding like so many other bands.
