yeah its worth it if your buying new, always nice to have more options.but I got a deal on a used one without the mod a couple years ago and honestly haven't missed it at all

ok this makes me feel better because I bought a used one on eBay without the mod. I guess when I get my 2nd one (cause I know it's gonna happen) I can get one that has the mod and just disengage it when I'm using them in stereo
I have 2 with the mods and I never ever use it. To me it doesn't even sound like the all-buttons in mode at all, and honestly even on room mics I find it to be too much. I'd much rather run the nuke setting then the mod mode with any other ratio every time.
Having said that, if you don't mind spending the extra 100-200 dollars to find out of you'll like it, then by all means go for it.
tbh, i never use it either. every time i try it, it seems to fail on any source. and i even went to the manual and tried their "preset" settings to see if i was doing something wrong and still. it really didn't do it for me.
