Last weekend in Gettysburg PA, I watched District 97 earn an unofficial landslide "best of show" from majority of RoSfest attendees AND performers, including non-fans of their specific style of prog.

The band absolutely nailed a tough repertoire, and Leslie Hunt had us prog-geezers reaching for an extra dose of Geritol; I got whiplash from trying to follow her with a camera. The festival forums and Facebook pages have been abuzz ever since.

Bravo!

Bummer. Things look good for us heading out east again in August, so we might come close to your neck of the woods again. Keep checking http://district97.net for updates. You can also send an email to district_97@yahoo.com to join our mailing list.

Maybe you can convince Glenn that you belong at ProgPower. :D

Yeah, reaction at Progressive Ears was overwhelmingly positive for the RoSFest show, which I was at. Definitely a lot of energy and you all look so fricking young. (and I had a similar reaction to Scale The Summit at ProgDay last year)

And just to repeat: the duct tape tube top/bustier: ouch.

That Termites song isn't bad, but personally I'd like it better if the vocals didn't follow the music so closely. I'd def check this band out live.

IN YET MORE OTHER NEWS,
We are hitting the studio the day after we get back from the tour, Monday 8/8. It's still not too late to donate towards what promises to be a very expensive undertaking, and in the process get your name in the liner notes, signed merchandise, and perhaps even guest on the CD! You can donate through http://district97.net/merch.html or our live album download at http://district97.bandcamp.com/album/district-97-live-at-calprog. Thanks to all who have donated thus far, you've really helped us!

Hope to see you on the road!
