Thanks...Kick and snare are blended, Kick 15 and Black Kick, Snare 2 and Dream Snare. Then bussed and EQd, comp'd, saturated etc. etc.

No release date yet unfortunately as we are searching for a label again, also considering self release.

Cheers! Rhythm guitar is 5150III + Mesa cab, reamped by Mark at Audiohammer. Cleans, leads and FX overdubs are all Axe-FX.

Yeah, this is just awesome. I'm pretty familiar with that ride cymbal sound, though! ;)

Hope you "make it" with this.

Hehe :heh: Thanks :kickass:

Dang!!!!!

That sounds amazing! Looking forward to the release!

I've always liked the stuff you have up'd on the Fractal site! I absolutely love my Axe Fx!!! So the rhythms here are not Axe Fx?

Crackin' stuff dude! Can you give me an idea on what compressor/settings you use on the Slate snares? Everytime I compress them I never really "gain" any extra smack, just some level changes.

I have the same problem, i usually end up with a transient designer boosting some mids and it works wonders ¡¡¡ try that out, it adds a lot of punch that you can`t get with only eq or compressión.

Nope rhythms are real amp, all other guitars are Axe-Fx.

Hell yeah :)

Great tune, tones and mix.

x100 :saint:

love that mix

Thanx...it's UAD 1176, input at 1:00, output at 1:30, attack at half and release almost cranked, 4:1 ratio. Then it goes to a parallel compresser (Rocket) for some more smashy smashy.

D20, Enditol, Moshwitz, aren't we all at the Fractal forum? ;)

Again, Enditol, it sounds awesome.

Thanks a lot! Yeah i'm sure we all lurk there occasionally...:heh:

I tracked all the rhythms with the Axe and it was fucking great. Wayyyy more realistic and satisfying to play through then the POD we used for last album. Also less strange surprises hidden in the tracks when it came time to reamp...

I was actually quite happy with the tones laid to 'tape' but the plan was always to reamp so we did it anyway. I could have lived with the Axe rhythm tones easily but Mark did a kick ass fucking job so we used the amp tracks.

Here is the album cover:
