...and I like it!

Here's a clip with no processing on the guitars whatsoever and some midi drums.

UPDATE
New Clip

I'm not sure if it's a good thing but it has a ton of mids. The low end seems to be tight enough and the highs shouldn't be too harsh.

I can only record it in a small room with nasty acoustics at the moment, so bear that in mind. Still, do you think it's a cool raw(unprocessed) tone or am I better off sticking with impulses (again ;/)

I'll post some info and photos when I do the finish (soon), I'm still deciding on a couple of visual details.

It's a simple but pretty sturdy (imo) and airtight construction; Vintage 30; little insulation (1 piece, roughly 10x10 inches).

Actually let's make this more interesting... why don't you guys guess the:

1. Size
2. Speaker Count
3. Materials
4. Cost (approximate)
5. Mounting (front or back)

So you guys like it so far? Awesome.

I'll have some pics and info up in a couple of days. I might also record some clips with the cab surrounded by acoustic panels although the main issue is lower-frequency room acoustics

I do.

It kind of has that super nasally mid sound ala Decapitated. I think if you processed the hell out of it to give it that super "hi-fi" type sound, it would work great for that sort of thing.

I just made a few modifications and now it sounds noticeably fuller in the lows/ low mids and smoother in the high mids/highs. I'll post a new clip in a couple of hours.

UPDATE

New Clip

Can't believe a few changes to the cab made such a huge difference, the amp settings are identical to the previous clip and the mic position is virtually the same. :zombie:

Hahah, nah, it's a legit cab but what you've just described bears an uncanny resemblance to the most ghetto setup I've ever used: lololol

new clip, different amp settings + some eq

I wanted it to be plywood there wasn't any near me so I bought some pretty thick pine boards (28mm) and 17mm MDF. As you can see, it's bigger than an Oversized Mesa. The second photo is the newer one, the first one shows the back.

I might add a second V30 in there. We'll see.
