Looking forward to it, the link attached to the image is missing a colon. Here's the correct link - www.metalmessiahradio.com

and that was only the beginning of the last minute screw-ups I had this evening. hah hah. Microphone issues does not make a good on-air DJ. and then issues with the actual broadcasting program didn't help.

But when we got underway a good 5 minutes late, at least everyone seemd to enjoy the music selection. So that was good.

Maybe I can work the kinks out this week and have a somewhat better show next Friday night.

Thanks for tuning in Stephen. I appreciate it.

I WILL drop in there one of the upcoming friday nights....it is weekly, correct?

Thanks J-Dubya, Hope you can drop in some time. Yes, it is a weekly show. However I won't be available to host the show on Dec 30th, as I will be on the road to Florida to see Grandbaby Hoyt for a belated Christmas.

Each Friday in January there should be an episode of DJ Hoyt's Metal Empire - featuring dynamic and hi-caliber prog, power, and thrash from traditional metal acts, today's heroes, and tomorrow's legends. :worship:

a few notes about tonight's show...

the problem with the microphone has been solved. So you should be able to hear my nervous voice tonight occasionally between songs. But I have a LOT of music to throw at you, so I'll try not to chatter much at all.

  • I will be premiering a song from Urban Breed's new melodic metal project Trail of Murder (feat. ex-Tad Morose musicians) in the first hour of the show.
  • I'll keep the Christmas music to a minimum. There's really only a couple of tunes I plan to throw at you. ...ok, three or four maybe. But that's it! :p
  • late in the second hour I plan a short tribute to David Wayne, whose birthday is Jan 1st - but I won't have a show next Friday due to travel plans.
  • some folks asked me last week about saving the playlist for future podcasts... ok, I'll be doing that this week.

now... anyone know anything about podcasts? *scratches head* :loco:

After tonight, I'll return on January 6th with a special spotlight on unsigned and indie label bands who deserve to be heard. Join us, won't you?

this just in - I have found out that the DJ who normally goes on after me will be unavailable to do his show. So it looks like I'm going to get a crap-ton of experience tonight! :yow: If you have to tune in late, I'll likely be on until after midnight eastern time. Come hang out with us!

I'll not be on air tomorrow night (Dec 30th) due to travel plans, but will return next Friday night Jan 6th with a show dedicated to all new metal (not nu-metal!) from bands you may or may not have ever heard before. So if you're in the mood to hear something 'new' for the New Year, tune in!
