As for me - I'd like 'em to be more "in your face". But it's up to you, guys. If you like the result - why not? There are no rules. It's all about what YOU feel and how YOU want the sound to be. I'm sure that there are some people who still prefer raw black "cvlt" black metal-ish sound more that polished tones.
