Djent?

This Djent stuff sounds pretty gay tbh,and as someone mentioned the word itself is downright annoying.Meshuggah is a band i've never bothered checking out, funny how you can judge a band just from looking at band pics.

The djent stuff is gay indeed. But Meshuggah has released some damn good albums like "ObZen" and "Nothing". Their live DVD is a cool option for those who don't know the band. And their drummer is unbelievable (Tomas Haake).

When I started listening to them this shitty "djent" name didn't exist (at least as far as I know). Can't stand any of the other bands related to the term.

I enjoy some of the djent bands that don't focus entirely on the rhythmic aspect of the genre. Chimp spanner is good. I like worC and uneven structure as well, and unsigned char and cloudzone are pretty good too. Most of the bands I listed have a pretty keen sense of atmosphere with a uniquely urban feel, and cloudzone reminds me of isis and russian circles.
