I was skeptical coming into this thread and had a surprise hope when I heard the lo-fi intro bit, but when everything's blended together, there doesn't seem to be enough tonal separation between guitar and bass. The mix has a good balance in level and frequency, but having both guitar and bass technically being the same instrument, there leaves something to be desired in tonality. Sweet experiment, though!
Also, where in Florida are you? I'm down in West Palm.
Got that distinctive distorted bass sound that I've learned to hate unless blended in subtly with distorted guitars and through the right cab/impulse, though the idea was kinda cool I lost interest about half a minute in.
I think it´s great that you experiment, and at the beginning it sounds kinda cool, but that part at 0:35 totally turns me off, sounds like a crappy casio keyboard. The rest is pretty good, I would listen to more of it.

I wasn't originally planning to add any synths but this is something I find myself doing in everything I make. I realize it can be a big turn off for any traditional metal fan but I love weird shit that makes you go "what the fuck?"
Even if it's in a bad way.
I also agree about the tonality missing. Just wanted to try this for fun though, I don't plan on doing this much more at all.

Oh don´t get me wrong, I´m a huge synth/keyboards freak, and I like the other keyboards stuff you´ve got after that one, but that specific one sounds like crap to me. No offense of course, and again, I dig the rest of it quite well.
