Hockey is greatest sport on the planet. It's fast, requires a boatload of skill to avoid the boatload of risk. I play and I coach. If the players are taught well, it's a fantastic sport to watch. Beats the hell our of just about any other sport.
It's funny, though. You'll hear the same complaints about lacrosse that you hear about hockey. Both originated centuries ago or so with the native americans/south americans playing much more brutal versions. The versions we have, today, are VERY pasteurized, homogonized, sterilized....
