Do record companies look at message boards?

I know a lot of the smaller ones do (TER, willowtip, vendlus), but what about Century Media, Relapse and such? When they're looking for the "next big trend", do they read up on message boards (UM, Metal Archives, their own board, etc)? I know they must not check here much, else Drudkh and Deathspell Omega would be on CM and adored by Lacuna Coil and Cradle of Filth fans
