The BF debut is closer to Kamelot than Conception, but it's solid. Innosense is very Conception-ish, but with poorly written lyrics bordering on distracting. I'm curious to hear this new Black fate now. THis singer is also working with a band called Sunburst, which I've been waiting to hear for about 3 years. It's got Gus Drax doing his best Loomis styled riffs.

Somewhat in the guitar riffage BUT the vocal melodies and harmonies reek of Khan completely IMO. Overall quality stuff.

There are some songs on the disc that are indeed Conception homage with both the riffing and the 100% Khan vocal cloneage. Foreverprog is exactly right about the vocal melodies & harmonies. It's pure Conception. I actually played a song between the sets this year from the disc and was stopped in the hall about it, "Who was the Conception band?"

It's a great release.

This and Iris Divine are the 2 most recent adds to my cd player. Both are on heavy rotation now that the Evergrey disc is burned into my memory and I only need to listen to it a few times a week instead of on heavy repeat
