sure. and nearby there is a small (very small) museum about astronomy and i think they have a telescope, too.
my school once owned 3 telescopes but now there is only one left because they then were stationed somewhere else and not in my school. But they needed the place where they were for this euroga (european garden thingy) and so one of the telescopes moved to our school.

And there also is some kind of a pillar which is used to measure the universe. it's part of an international project. i don't get how it works but it sounds interesting

I haven't a clue what you're talking about. and the website is outdated. very outdated.

I also found one very outdated site but this one here is rather new: http://www.sternwarte-am-schlossgymnasium.de/sc1_webseite/

And somewhere on this site there is written that this pillar is some kind of a rebuild version of an old instrument they used in earlier times to do measurings.
But they measured the universe using the Venus Transit on 2004/06/08.
