They've done some huge recordings there. The lord of the rings soundtrack comes to mind.

Karl Groom's place, Thin Ice is not too far from London. His drum work is great. Other than that, TBH, I'm underwhelmed by most smaller London studios. You always get more for your money looking further afield.
The only black metal band I personally know based in London record in Italy so I don't know what that says.

I know Greg from Esoteric has a studio, but it's outside of london, he's good with extreme metal of all kinds though.

all the songs are mainly blastbeats and doublebass.
i have all of them in preproduction form with cubase with a metronome etc.
