So Mendeed (a metalcoreish band that I don't really care for), splits due to irreconcilable differences with their manager? Ummm what am I missing here? Just fire the manager and move on? Maybe their manager was some kid's mom.

Maybe their manager was also one of the band members.

The manager pumped a lot of cash into these guys to get things going for them, buying them onto tours, studio time, etc, etc. They got signed to Nuclear Blast and decided the manager was no good and wanted to drop him. The manager wanted his money back, so they split rather than pay him. That's the simple story.
